MAN-Gymnasium Secondary School

The systems engineering and electrical installations of the property were renovated in an exemplary manner to increase energy efficiency. Thus, and for the first time in the region, it has made been possible to also use lighting control components - and especially Busch-Jaeger presence sensors - in classrooms for configuration-dependent individual room heating control. Configuration-dependent individual room control has been recommended for energy-efficiency installations in accordance with the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) for several years now and has been scientifically substantiated by Prof. Dr.Ing. Manfred Mevenkamp of Hochschule Bremen University of Applied Sciences (www.iia.hs-bremen.de), among others.

The historical building, designed by Hans Erlwein, perfectly demonstrates how efficient lighting components can also be used to improve the aesthetics of the architecture.
