Switching points for the largest shop window in the world

Busch-Jaeger switch ranges are in use at Hamburg's exhibition mounting hall for Airbus A380

Hamburg/Lüdenscheid. Weighing in at 560 tons, as well as being about 24 metres high, 80 metres wide, and 73 metres long, a milestone of aeronautics is hiding behind these impressive figures. As the largest passenger plane in the world, Airbus A380 has opened up a new era for wide-body aircraft. Not only the machine itself presented engineers with a great challenge, however, but also the planning and construction of the gigantic mounting hall in Hamburg-Finkenwerder demanded intelligent solutions. Planners thus decided on the flush-mounted and surface-mounted ranges of Jaeger Elektro GmbH for the electrical installations.
